The INtegrated Mapping FOr the Sustainable Development of Ireland’s MArine Resource (INFOMAR)

The INFOMAR programme is a joint venture between the Geological Survey of Ireland and the Marine Institute and is the successor to the Irish National Seabed Survey.  Covering some 125,000 km² of Irelands most productive and commercially valuable inshore waters, INFOMAR will produce integrated mapping products covering the physical, chemical and biological features of the seabed.
Initially, INFOMAR will focus on 26 bays and 3 priority areas (shown in map). Click on the map to view information collected to date. (http://www.infomar.ie/)
