2012 Cork Harbour Open Weekend!!!
This successful initiative is now in it’s 4th year, and was the outcome of a research project (COREPOINT) led by UCC’s Coastal and Marine Research Centre (http://cmrc.ucc.ie)

President Michael D.Higgins comes to Cobh Wednesday April 11th at 2pm.
President Michael D.Higgins visits Cobh this Wednesday April 11th to oversee the National Tribute and pay respects to the 123 passengers who left Cobh onboard Titanic 100 years ago. There will be a Naval Fleet review and a Fly Over from the Irish Air Corps.

Cork St. Patrick's Day Parade 2012

The INtegrated Mapping FOr the Sustainable Development of Ireland’s MArine Resource (INFOMAR)
The INFOMAR programme is a joint venture between the Geological Survey of Ireland and the Marine Institute and is the successor to the Irish National Seabed Survey. Covering some 125,000 km² of Irelands most productive and commercially valuable inshore waters, INFOMAR will produce integrated mapping products covering the physical, chemical and biological features of the seabed.
Initially, INFOMAR will focus on 26 bays and 3 priority areas (shown in map). Click on the map to view information collected to date. (http://www.infomar.ie/)
